Who is Bulk?

Bulk was formed in 2005 by Franco Gonzalez and Rich Ferris. The two had met earlier that year playing in a band named Wataka out of Oakland, CA. After deciding to go in the funk direction they met up with Ryan Shultzaberger and started to write material. After two years of struggling to find a back beat, the band hooked up with drummer Curtis Cirillo in 2006. Soon after that, the band began their search for keys and recruited Craig Schneider on Hammond Organ. They can often be seen as a quintet but lately have a full horn horn section and various singers.
